Trevor is learning Wing Chun, the form of Kung Fu that formed the base of Bruce Lee’s technique. He recently attended a seminar with the leading practitioner of his style in Europe and, having just been invited to become a monthly contributor to the magazine, took the opportunity to question him.

Daniel Martinez says
I really enjoyed this interview. It’s a shame the club is not in London. ๐
I studied TKD in Connecticut, USA, at an excellent school and when I moved away for work reasons, I was unable to find another TKD school to match it. I’ve been away from martial arts for years now but my hunger to get back into is still there and continues to get stronger. I played around with Ninjitsu here in London and really liked the energy of the instructor but the attitude of some of the students put me off.
I’ll definitely look at Wing Chun when I start looking at schools.
Trevor Silvester says
I’d definitely encourage you to return to it. I’m kicking myself (the flexibility exercises are working:)) for not doing so years before. I really enjoy my Kickboxing, but I find Wing Chun to be a really intelligent system.
